My life continues to be a whirlwind of unbelievable experiences, people,
places, and songwriting inspiration. For those of you who like to live
vicariously through me, here are a few highlights:

The winter has had me involved in a different aspect of the creative process,
namely producing, arranging, and recording my first all-original cd. (See my
"song downloads" page to hear the first few cuts.) It's been great spending time with my friend and recording engineer Craig Fletcher on a weekly basis, plus having various friends participate as well (long-time friend Harsev Thiara, Jr. on tabla, "5ft 20in tall" harmonica player Doug Sandall, Herbie Wiehskopf on numerous percussion instruments, and Phil Prunier on acoustic guitar and mandolin).

In and around that, I've been gigging regularly, and squeezed in a two-week
sailing stint with Brother Paul in March down in Fort Myers, FL. Of course,
I renewed a lot of friendships in Florida even while I was forming new ones,
and performed seven out of fourteen nights that I was there. Closer to home,
I only got to ski in the Sierras a few times this season, but the days I had were epic!

Now, I'm off to Europe for four weeks of sightseeing, during which time I'll
perform a few nights, and hope to receive more songwriting inspiration. Upon
my return on the 4th of June, I will have a few days to recover from the jet lag
before I start gigging and recording again.

I plan to spend the summer season in the Reno/Tahoe area, and am deciding
now where my next tour will take me. By October 1, I should have two full-
length all-original cds, and will need to tour in support of them. So, please
be sure to get on my mailing list so you'll know when I'll be back to visit you,
wherever you are.

In the meantime, think globally, act locally, and support live music: "the
heartbeat of life!"
